Introducing Lisa, assistant wedding planner

At the start of 2013 I wrote a fun little post highlighting some things you probably didn’t know about me. It occurred to me that I really ought to introduce Lisa as well considering she is the Dream Occasions assistant planner. Lisa has been working with me since about 2006, she helps with admin in the office but most importantly is there on clients wedding or party day. She anticipates my every move when we work at an event and invariably finds my folder before I’ve even realised I’ve lost it. She’s calm, polite and a lot of fun to work with.

  • I married my childhood sweet heart (I went to playgroup with him!), both our parents were very young when they met too,  must be a family gene!
  • I have two boys, 10 & 8 who are obsessed with technology – just wish they could play outside & build dens like the good old days!!!!
  • I worked as a PA for the same bank in London for 13 years
  • I am very loyal & don’t like change.
  • I am a completely honest, open & patient person, but can’t abide lies!
  • I love setting myself daily “To Do Lists”, which I then love ticking off each “To do” – I get great satisfaction from this, but beat myself up if I haven’t completed them all!!
  • I love the smell of freshly laundered washing & cut grass!
  • I am obsessed with going to gym classes (Hatton Boxing, TRX, Circuits, Kettlekick) twice a week – if I can’t got for whatever reason I do get very grumpy!
  • I absolutely love shopping & grabbing a bargain or two or three!! (much to my husbands disgust & our bank balance!) – it’s my guilty pleasure!
  • I have an obsession that whatever outfit I wear has to match, i.e same colour bag as shoes, same colour gloves as coat, same colour eyeshadow & lipstick as outfit, same colour jewellry/scarf, down to same colour socks!!
  • I enjoy walking my dog (preferably kids free!) to de-stress & unwind from the daily grind!
  • I am very organized – I have to pre-book events with friends/family & always seem to have a full calendar of events, but do enjoy a ‘nothing’ day to catch  up!
  • I love listening to good wedding speeches, but get embarrassed if they’re bad!! (I have to walk away!!)
  • I take pride in & enjoy setting up wedding venues – love seeing the final outcome!
