A Greek BBQ

In July I was contacted by Helen who wished to organise 2 separate events at her home in August and September. The second event was in September and I knew due to a large Suffolk wedding I wouldn’t be able to attend, thus Lucie ran the day for me.

The brief was to organise a relaxed Greek BBQ. For this event we positioned the marquee amongst the trees and borders of Helens garden. We used bunting to guide guests in and to greet guests there were various garden games, which alongside the pimms and beer allowed guests to relax. There was no seating plan and guests sat where they wished to. Miniature vases of flowers were provided by Jades Flowers and set amongst the white linen and biscuit coloured napkins.

I discovered an absolute gem of a caterer called Mario from The Big Fat Greek BBQ Company. Lucie has highlighted how wonderful he was to work with on the day and my clients have raved about the food. Sincerely hope to use him again in the future and perhaps even sample the food! Alongside the delicious Greek puddings guests could nibble on the ice cream via Cole and sons.

It was a joy working with Helen organising these 2 events and I hope to work with her again in the future. Remember I can help with smaller functions, both these events had 50 guests in attendance and ran from 3pm-8pm but I know guests had a fabulous time and Helen appreciated having someone who could organise the events on her behalf, especially as she was out of the country for most of the time. Huge thanks to Lucie for being my right hand lady.
