I’m delighted to share with you today the wedding of Shareen and Wyndham who were married in July 2016. The venue chosen for their ceremony and reception was the gorgeous Suffolk resort Wilderness Reserve.
I adored working with Shareen and Wyndham who genuinely are gorgeous people, inside and out. Not surprising that their friends and family were the same, some of the nicest guests at a wedding we’ve had the pleasure to meet. The service booked was my 3-month package + additional services of marquee & catering sourcing/management, wedding design + wedding set up on the Friday.
Ceremony & Drinks Reception
A civil ceremony was held in the manor house, Sibton Park before guests headed outside for drinks and canapés. I know we can’t always predict the weather but boy was it a scorching hot day, perfect weather for a marquee reception! With all the sides open it was lovely feeling like the Suffolk countryside was right by your side. Guests used this time to review the mirror table plan and one of the ushers played a trumpet fanfare to announce the bride and groom into the marquee.
During our skype consultation, Shareen and Wyndham explained how they wanted to have an art deco feel to the design. After creating some Pinterest accounts and design consults with the florist we decided on an “Art Deco in the Country” theme. We didn’t want to lose the beauty of the countryside when creating the theme. A palette of pink, black and gold was agreed upon.
Our chosen florist was Clare from The Traditional Vintage Flower Company who created beautiful floral arrangements amongst our black candelabras. We decided on long tables to create that more banquet feel, guests tables were clothed in a baby pink linen and the top table had a striking gold sequin top cloth.
The table names were Beatle songs and were displayed in a mix of picture frames. Gold napkin ring holders from Dream Occasions were positioned around the black napkins and each guest received a handmade votive candle with their name on it.
We decided on a white dance floor under the clear roof which with the white lounge furniture created a more modern feel to the evening. I must mention how fabulous the marquee was, Anglia Coastal marquees were so dedicated throughout the planning process and a joy to work with.
Huge thank you to my team of wonderful suppliers and Yasmin at the Wilderness Reserve. I’m looking forward to heading back to this venue in July 2017.
