In my 10 years as a planner there are many times whereby I have to ‘fix an emergency’ (sometimes) without the bride & groom or guests knowing. In a new series I am sharing some of those circumstances with you in short snippets once a month.
In one of my earlier marquee weddings, a client had wanted a rustic feel combined with elegance and thus ordered the simple wooden folding chairs for the wedding breakfast. Unbeknown to us they had been used at the Suffolkshow, and not cleaned and as with the joys of the British weather were caked in mud. I started cleaning the chairs personally until I realised it was every chair so called the company to replace them all.
Tip: Always get furniture delivered on the Friday morning allowing for the chance to correct any mishaps easily.
